The Republican speeches were written a month ago: "It is with deepest regret that I must rise to filibuster this selection for the Supreme Court. (blank) (blank) is a radical, activist, out-of-the-mainstream liberal, not fit for the court."

All they're doing today is replacing (blank) (blank) with Sonia Sotomayor. And now all of the Republicans who thought filibustering was a horrible thing to do when the pick was Alito or Roberts will now, oh so very reluctantly, rise to filibuster Obama's pick.

Sometimes, I wish the Dems had the spine to be such pricks, just to gum up the gears and make it tough for Republicans to get anything done when they're in power.
