Update Pointer

Just fyi, Michelle and I are home, Daniel is doing well, and she posted an update about the whole ordeal over on her blog, with pictures.

Comments on entries can only be made in pop-up windows while those entries are still on the main index page. Sorry for the inconvenience this causes, but this blocks about 99.99% of the spam the blog receives.

I think with Michelle's blog, you have to register (one time only) to read it. It's a personal blog, and it has been discovered by others who know us (they didn't tell us they found it ... we check logs regularly). That plus spam problems plus a few other simple considerations led to that decision for her. Obviously, the registration info will only stay with us, not published anywhere, etc.

I'm still trying to stick with MT for as long as I can because I hate registration all the way around.

Well I like Word Press so far and I don't think a one time registration is all that bad. I do it enough times to read other people's blogs and hey if someone doesn't like registering (it's only a name and an email), they don't have to bother with it right?! =)

Oh and pooey on you Doug, don't like registration my ass.

I dunno. If I didn't know Observer *personally*, I would never register. I'll never leave my real email with anyone, and that means I have to lie to you (leave a false address) to see what you have to say. Sorry, I'll pass.
